The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) Department of Nursing invites passionate, innovative nurse educators to join our growing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator and simulation specialist who is eager to inspire the next generation of nurses while leading a state-of-the-art simulation program that prepares students for real-world clinical practice.

The Opportunity
This full-time, tenure-track faculty position combines:
50% Simulation Program Leadership
- Coordinate and oversee high-fidelity simulation experiences across the BSN curriculum
- Advance simulation pedagogy and competency-based education
- Integrate emerging healthcare technologies and educational electronic health records
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance clinical learning outcomes
50% Teaching and Faculty Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate nursing courses in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings
- Mentor and advise nursing students
- Engage in scholarship and professional service
- Contribute to the continued growth and excellence of the nursing program
This is a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Nursing or a closely related field
- Unencumbered multistate RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in South Carolina
- Formal training in simulation pedagogy
- Experience utilizing high-fidelity simulation and educational electronic health records
- Demonstrated proficiency with instructional and healthcare technologies
- Clinical experience caring for adult medical-surgical populations
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential or willingness to obtain certification within two years of employment
- Previous baccalaureate nursing teaching experience
- Experience leading or coordinating simulation programs
- National specialty certification
- Commitment to innovative, student-centered teaching and evidence-based practice
