About us:

Intellirad Imaging, LLC is an independent, physician-owned private radiology group with 27 physicians, five nurse practitioners, a practice manager, and two medical assistants. We provide comprehensive medical imaging and Interventional services to several large hospitals in South Florida. We also see patients in a growing clinic practice. Our radiologists have developed positive, respected relationships in the communities within which they operate. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced executive to partner with our physicians in leading our organization.

Position Summary:

The executive director position serves as a visionary strategic partner and works with the team to develop, implement, and manage strategic objectives and goals. The executive director oversees operations, human resources, IT, accounting, revenue cycle management, quality, compliance & physician relationships. In addition, the position plans for the continued growth and expansion of services, compliance, contracting, networking, and customer relations. The executive director works closely with the President and the Executive Committee/physician partners and serves as the primary liaison between the corporation, customers, vendors, patients, and the communities we serve.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationship Management

· Maintain basic knowledge of hospital contractual requirements (quality, financial, satisfaction) and educate providers appropriately. Assist with the renewal or modification of said contracts as requested.

· Create awareness among facility/key hospital personnel on practice services, including the quality program. Understand, in turn, the needs and quality program of the hospital. 

· In coordination with Clinical and Practice Management Leadership, liaise with the hospital to facilitate problem resolution and goal setting.

· Interface and network with hospital departments and attend applicable meetings.

· Be aware of local developments and identify potential threats and opportunities

Governance

· Oversee governance committees for each practice, including board meetings, staffing plan, medical director committees, and quality.

· Maintain a working knowledge of behavioral and HR staff issues; report staff issues appropriately to Leadership.

· In collaboration with Clinical Leadership and Operations, determine physician staffing needs.

· In collaboration with Clinical Leadership, initiate and coordinate staff meetings.

· Work with Clinical Leadership to prepare for any leave of absence/terminations and communicate anticipated needs to hospital leadership to obtain coverage.

· Understand monthly labor costs related to budgets and proactively research and report on issues by working collaboratively with Leadership.

· Maintain working knowledge of budgets and dashboards and how staffing changes may impact the practice financials.

· Assist Clinical Leadership in regularly preparing and disseminating quality reports as tools to provide continuous performance feedback to department leadership and staff.

· Assist Practice Leadership in gathering quality data to present to the hospital.

Customer Service and Business Development

· In collaboration with Clinical Leadership, meet regularly with assigned physicians to:

· Report any projected changes in service requirements that would change our provider schedule and thus impact financial performance. Escalate issues to Leadership.

· Serve as liaison with customers, including patients, community physicians/providers, and other hospital personnel to assess client satisfaction.

· Actively monitor the radiology market throughout South Florida to identify potential future business.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Communicate activities, events, and concerns to the appropriate responsible parties.

· Assist in facility start-ups and acquisitions as assigned.

· In collaboration with Clinical Leadership, implement necessary communication mechanisms to ensure that the practices are provided with up-to-date information on corporate policies, procedures, and initiatives.

· Report any actual or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment, or other prohibited activities per the company’s reporting policies.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant analyst experience preferred, Master’s Degree highly preferred
  • Five years prior relevant experience in management, healthcare administration. Radiology Management in private practice background is preferred
  • Candidates should have experience in working closely with physicians
  • Requires a thorough understanding of customer relationship management, entrepreneurial-based service delivery, and an ability to adapt to a rapidly growing environment
